Going undefeated 12 team cfp

Will rarely happen! Top 25 teams yearly will have to get used to that. I thought the drop in AP poll was fair now let's respond!
You’re aware the ACC hasn’t gotten an influx of talent. Only the Big Ten and SEC have. The ACC is actually worse seeing that Clemson and FSU are bad.

The UF coach is fired. FSUs should be. Clemson’s might be next year.

I dont buy this stuff. Playing down being undefeated when we went undefeated in the toughest part of pur schedule makes no sense. Who is gonna beat Ohio on their regular season schedule? They shouldn't lose any games. And we shouldn't have lost to UL. Nothing to do with 12 team playoff. Our coaches got their lunch took.

The gap between Ohio and the rest of their schedule is a lot bigger than the one the Miami has

Ohio State was losing to 6-6 Nebraska last year in the 4th quarter midway through the season. The same Ohio State team lost to Michigan 10-13 in their final game. Miami almost lost to Boston College in 2001 off 4 interceptions and 0 TDs from Ken Dorsey.

I get all that. And it all paints a nice picture for us to go, "See, we're just overly critical". But the difference here is that all the teams above could be absolutely dominant in some phase of the game. I don't know what this team does really well anymore.

Would you believe that in the month of October (ACC play for us) Miami is 131st in the country in rushing offense? And we're 134th in penalties? Mario's entire culture is strength and discipline. And this is where we are. This is why I have absolutely no faith in this team because the foundation of what they should be good at, what their coach should excel at, is not just broken but absolutely pulverized.

Culture is all talk.. big hat, no cattle.

Officials call penalties and penalties have been a problem at UM for 45 yrs regardless of the coach. It is impossible to have a team at Miami that wins the penalty battle. In 45 yrs how many times have we been the less penalized team. I bet its under 15% of games.

Nobody thought this team was going 12-0. Biggest disappointment wasn’t that they lost but just how flat they came out… at home. They haven’t came out flat like that since when Virginia game 2 years ago?

Yeah I was expecting a really tough game (probably our first L) at the end of the season against Pitt in the cold temps. Getting dogwalked at home after a bye week is pathetic. There is flat and then there is getting completely outclassed. But for the miracle Louisville turnover late in the game, Louisville wins by double digits in a game that was a lot like the FSU-UM game score in terms of not showing how much better one team was over the other.

Yup. Even if we win out and don't make the ACCCG, I think we'll need that conference game to go a certain way. What if GT and UL are in and GT is undefeated going in. GT loses and Miami won't get an at-large bid. Or, GT wins and beats a 1 loss UL. I think we would sweat it out but should get in.

Miami will absolutely make it at 11-1...probably ranked 6 or 7 at that point. They will get in ahead of ND and most 10-2 SEC teams given their wins. If USF and ND win out, it is 100% probability at 11-1. 10-2 is not happening, same as last year.

We get in no matter what at 11-1. dont even have to play in or need a certain result in the ACC champ game. Thats probably the only way the ACC gets 2 teams in.
