I'm pulling for Coach Diaz. I don't care that this is naive, he can still turn this thing around if he is circumspect and holds everyone, most of all himself, accountable.

Do I expect him to do this...? I'll find out the 1st part of the answer tonight at 8 EST.

I know we're all frustrated, but it's still too early to pull the plug and root for the Canes to lose so we get another new coaching staff.

Logic, accountability and passion can turn this around for Manny. I'm hoping he surprises us all and does just that.

I agree 100% as well. He’s facing a sharp learning curve and I think he realizes his mistakes in some of staff he picked and if he can weather the storm, win tonight, and pull out an 8-4 or at worse a 7-5 season, he is football savvy enough to pull the trigger and replace some of the staff he should never have brought in. If he can accomplish this, then he has a shot at turning things around long term. Go Canes!

Playing devil's advocate. What makes you think Diaz will revamp most of the staff, after the season ends. Remember Richt DIDN'T change fire one coach! And several assistants DESERVED to be handed the pink slip under Marky Mark.

My standards of success are higher than some on this board. Nonetheless I would like him to, but don’t think he will

Most coaches do make changes because of the pressures to win right away in today’s climate ..changing staff every few year can also be detrimental if you don’t hit right away. Forcing kids to learn 3 systems in four years is tough..that said manny seems like a guy who will cut base on guys he isn’t familiar working with..but those other relationships not so sure yet. Only time can tell

Manny took the job and immediately demoted his partners and fired the offensive staff. He cares about succeeding more than he cares for them. Richt was the opposite of that

Logically any real Cane fan wants Manny to succeed, if not we start over again...
