UAB surrendered 35 points against Central Arkansas and 31 points against Miami.
Upon further review....
UAB allowed just 293 yards of offense last week, and take a look at the scoring drives for 3 of the 5 TDs scored by Central Arkansas:
2 plays, 4 yards
1 play, 15 yards
4 plays, 15 yards
The final 2 TDs (and 148 yards) by Central Arkanas were scored with under 5 minutes remaining when UAB was up 45-21.
More glass half full views from the parking garage:
Defense:
surrendered fewer than 300 yards
allowed 14 points (7 came on a short field)
forced 11 punts
3-15 on 3rd downs
pressured the QB frequently
nearly forced a few turnovers
tackled pretty well
Offense:
frenetic pace
good conditioning
sharp procedure
amassed 500 yards
scored 30+ points w/o the aid of forced TOs
numerous chunk plays
no turnovers
no bad drops
allowed fewer than 10 sacks
punted 6 times (as opposed to 16)
couple penalties
