Please do not change the narrative of what I am getting across.

1. Al Golden needed to go. He was a horrible game day coach and developer of talent.

2. Mark D'Nofrio. See #1 and multiply it by 5.

3. I was tremendously happy when we brought in Mark Richt, Manny Diaz, and Coach Kool.

In all honesty I am tired of hearing that he didn't bring in quality talent to the program. Considering that we were not winning, the self-imposed sanctions, horrible facilities, attendance, suspensions, and overall gloom hanging over program, the guy brought in players who can compete at a high level.

Offensively- Brad Kaaya may be a 1st Rd pick and is considered to be the #1 Pro style QB heading into 2017 draft. Mark Walton, Joseph Yearby, and Gus Edwards are all big time backs who were all recruited by the big boys. Stacy Coley, Braxton Berrios, Chris Herndon, and David Njoku are all big time talents and just need a OC to put them in the best position to succeed.

Defensively- Just think that we just lost AQM and Jermaine Grace to suspension just like we lost guys like Eddie Johnson, Alex Figueroa, Gionni Paul, and others years previous. Still in the stable were players like Demetrius Jackson, Chad Thomas, Kenrick Norton, RJ McIntosh, Gerald Willis, Trent Harris, Joe Jackson, Anthony Moten, And Courtel Jenkins just on the DL (Player all committed to Golden). Throw in other guys like Quarterman, Owens, Elder, Redwine, Burns (last yr 1st Rd), Jaquan Johnson, Jamal Carter, and Rayshawn Jenkins.

I am just tired of hearing about how we need to wait until we get the players. Yes, I think Richt will bring in tremendous classes to UM. But, lets not just dismiss these guys as over achievers. The previous staff was not harnessing their talent, but they did bring in some real good players. So, if I had to grade Al Golden, I would give him a D- as a coach and a B+ (considering all circumstances) at assembling talent.

Nobody said he didn't bring in talent, just that He didn't bring in ENOUGH talent. Also, thanks for another post about al.

It doesn't take much to bring in a #15 class each year in miami. But it does take serious level of ineptitude to ruin those #15 classes with horrible schemes, terrible strength and conditioning, and lack of player development within your system. There's no reason to give Al Golden a B+ for recruiting. SFL recruiting is the equivalent of the goldfish toss at the fair.....everyone gets a prize eventually.

ugh, another Golden and No thread!

We need to move on without them for our sakes'!!!

Gentleman I do not live on these boards and am not aware of Al Golden posts. Work on your reading comprehension. I said do not change the narrative. I said he sucked at coaching. I am just tired of hearing today and last year that the talent was and is not here. I am actually criticizing Golden more vigorously. Do not go off on the same rant you typically spew. Is Kaaya going Rd 1? Is Mark Walton one of the better backs in the country? Is Stacy Coley a big time talent? Do we have the best TE core in the country? Is the defensive line as a whole very strong even with the loss of a first Rd talent in AQM?

Notice I have around 7 posts so I do not live in this neighborhood. I have just been a fan for thirty five years and know good talent when I see it. If he was a better coach he would have recruited even better, but unfortunately he was not.

While I happen to agree that Golden did bring in some talent, I'm negging you because I don't want to hear ANYTHING about Al Golden anymore. Good or bad. He could have brought in Jerry Rice, Dan Marino, and Barry Sanders on O, and Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Ted Hendricks on D, and we'd STILL lose with his horrific ideology.

WTF is negging? Honestly, if you don't want to read about it. Don't read it. Move on. What is funny is that you are agreeing with my point. This all started because I read a comment on another post that said that Appalachian State wan't worried about Miami Speed and that was an indictment of Al Golden. My post is demonstrating that the problem was Al Golden, not the talent on the field.

Show some class. I am tired of hearing, not reading. I speak to actual people outside the bubble of my computer.

The problem with the post is it was about Al Golden. We have a real coach, and an administration that looks to care about winning again. Please, do yourself a favor, and the rest of us, and don't start posts about past failures. It's over, time to move on. Why ruin my morning coffee with talk about Al Golden?
