Have to agree with Wilfork on this. If we are going to give every INEXPERIENCED Coach we hire (minus Richt), three to five years to get it right, four coaches, puts us at 20 years. 20 years of losses. 20 years behind. No time to waste anymore,. Get an experience Turnaround Specialist. His name is Butch Davis. He did it at Miami, had success at UNC,, and really did it big with JJ in Dallas.

You’re right. He would stop the bleeding right away. He would put together a competent staff. We wouldn’t break the bank with his salary. He knows South Florida and knows how to evaluate talent.

Butch could also groom a coach in waiting. A football is a terrible thing to waste.

What ****es me off is all the croots we lose who go on to be phenoms for other schools. Then, the ones we get here hardly ever get much better with corching.

The hard part is getting both UM and Butch to agree.

Made sense end of 2006, but North Carolina came in and scooped him up.

Made sense end of 2015, but the more-experienced Richt got the job.

Doesn't make sense in 2020 when the man will be 70 years old and almost two decades removed from the end of his six-year stint rebuilding Miami in a different era.

Better find a different turnaround specialist as Butch ain't the same guy he was at 45 when taking the gig last time around—and his success is going to be measured on an impossible-to-reach bar he set way back in the day, which could never be reached based on what college football is now, compared to 1995.

So am I. Last year got let go. This year got hired back for 40% more money. Seems the young bloods just was ready for prime time yet. Am I what I was at 30 or 40? Oh **** no but then again, it would have been 200% more money then. If Butch can give a 1/3 of what he was, it would be 5X all the coaches we have had since. Get the man in. How bad can it be. We loss 5 or 6 games for 3 or 4 years? Maybe, but do you think the Butch Davis recruiting for THE U will leave the cover bear? Would you be happy with just 5 first round picks on the squad after 3 years? How many would it take for you to be worth it?
