Love me some Mark and Butch but tbh if there's anyway we can get Mike Gundy to take this job, it's needs to happen. Just imagine what his offense would do with the South Florida playmakers. Y'all always complaining about people never going to the games well that wouldn't be a problem anymore, a Gundy led team would be electric and fill the seats. Can't wait to see a Gundy smirk as he hands Jimbo an *** whooping next season.

Mike Gundy is a man, he's 40, and he would be the perfect hire.

Well did he meet at all?

Reports are out there saying he's met with at least 1 person heavily involved in the coaching search (probably Jimmy Johnson). Looks like the job is Mark's if he wants it but I want Gundy!! Dude has a fire to him!! Personally I don't understand how Gundy isn't #1 on our list over Mark. Yes I know he has Miami ties etc etc.. But Gundy has done more with far less than Mark. Facts are facts.

If it is not Butch, then Gundy would be my second choice. There is a chance he will do as Jimmy did. Give up that Big 8 bs offense and make a living on So Fl savages going wild.

i don't see gundy leaving. he's from oklahoma, played for oklahoma state, and has only spent 5 years of his coaching career away from stillwater.

Won his division twice. Doesn't develop NFL caliber players. I'll take Richt

Developed Justin Blackmon who was a 3* rated recruit into one of the best in college. Too bad he couldn't stay away from the drugs once he got to the NFL. Also, Dez Bryant came from Ok State. Has them winning consistently despite having to compete with schools like Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Tx Tech, TCU, and now even Houston for recruits. Jimmy Johnson went 29-25 at Ok. state. If this board was around then I'm sure a lot of posters wouldn't have wanted him either.

So two WRs in a pass happy offense. Ok coo. And besides OU and Texas those other schools jus became relevant in the last 5 years.

Richt hasn't won the conference since 2005.

Since 2010, here are the numbers:

Gundy: 58-19 (37-16), 1 Conference Championship and 1 BCS win

Richt: 55-24 (33-15), 0 Conference Championship and 0 BCS wins

Keep in mind, Gundy still has 1 more game this year.

That's just off the top of my head, two of the prominent players he's coached/developed. I would take Gundy over Richt. As for your comment about the other schools just now becoming relevant over the last 5 years. That argument doesn't hold much weight. You basically have 6 schools competing for recruits in one state versus being at a school located right in the heart in the most fertile recruiting area in the country, where your two major competitors are located over 200 miles away. I would be ecstatic about a MG coming here. Do I think it will happen? I wouldn't bet on it, but that would be a splash hire.

Gundy does NOT have access to the same talent...

Always been my top choice
But we are home running w either of
Gundy, Richt, Butch, Mullen
