His comments about competing vs clubs with larger fan bases and budgets and trying to balance those challenges with maintaining local fans engaged, being able to have an affordable product for them so that they feel a real part of it all.....well, it screams UM athletics.
This was a good read.
It almost sounds like a resume for UM AD.

Apparently it was known in these golden cane streets that this job was going to be open 9 months ago or so. Wouldn’t be surprised if the leading contenders courted media members to self mythologize beforehand.

Hahahaha I’m just sayin… it’s not really all that close in terms of actual accomplishments on the business side of things in sports business world. Then add that he’s a Cane — it’s just a really good fit

If I'm not mistaken, Bournemouth has one more match left on their schedule, and that will decide which European cup they will be involved next season, so perhaps he is holding off on making an announcement.

They do, but it's very likely that they'll stay put due to goal differences.

so long as its presently undecided that would be consistent with a reason for him to not announce a departure. when will the decision as to Bournemouth's fate next year be made? This weekend? Ty
 
Jim's a great dude. He was at ATO when I pledged. We worked at WVUM together too.

Every time he'd see me, he'd say, "Hey, Chief!" And then one day he stopped me on the little bridge headed to the student union and confessed that he called me Chief because he forgot my name. 😂
