Girard Pringle Jr (not hurt) forgotten?

I play some pretty niche NFL fantasy football, for those of you who don’t know there are dynasty leagues where you basically draft players and keep them forever versus traditional leagues where you pick new players every year.

I’ll even admit this is pretty deep and obviously entirely based on projections, but a guy I respect released his 2028 dynasty top 25. Meaning, guys who will be drafted in two years and entering the league.

Shocker, Mali is #1. But the list is littered with both guys you know and guys who we are totally projecting will be good. JKS, Bo Jackson, Dakorien Moore as some kids we’ve seen, but also Keelon Russell, Tavien St Clair etc as some projections.

He has Girard Pringle at #25. Pretty interesting.

Not fully accurate. Pringles are around 40% potato product, but because they aren’t made solely from whole potatoes, they can’t legally be called potato chips. Pringles are made from potatoes and other additives, ground into a dough which are then formed and fried into the shape we know them as.

Lyle got beat by a freshman during the spring game. This dude needs a patent on the hype cause it's impressive TBH. He had me fooled. I have no hate for Marty in my heart, Lyle is another situation.

As D$ touched on - Pringle is also our most dangerous pass catching RB.

Pringle only had 4 catches last year - but he had 3 of our top 5 longest RB receptions.

The NC St catch - Fletcher & Brown can't get YAC like that. The VT wheel route - Fletcher & Brown can't beat LB's like that.

As for Lyle - insiders kept saying (again) how good he was looking in Spring practice. Then he looked bad (again) in the Spring game.

What I see is a RB too hesitant/unwilling to run inside & not athletic enough to get outside.

Yeah I see that as well. Pringle takes these runs up the middle for 4 or 5 even at his size. Lyle will get some reps at some point and if he wants he career at Miami to continue there's no room for hesitation. We don't need 30 yard runs, we need 4.

We need both and Pringle seems to be a guy capable of both.

RB pass pro works on a sliding scale

Coaches will deal with WR drops, QB INT's, RB Fumbles/Missed blocks, etc. IF they consistently make plays. The more big plays they make, the more leeway the coaches will give.

Example:

MARK FLETCHER REGULAR SEASON (8 Games)
4.2 YPC vs P4
0 Sacks Allowed
0 Fumbles

MARK FLETCHER PLAYOFFS (4 Games)
6.8 YPC
2 Sacks Allowed
1 Fumble Lost

Which version of Fletcher do you think the coaches prefer?

Gibbs pass pro was terrible in College. That's why he got drafted so late

Gibbs pass pro has been terrible in the NFL. That's why he's barely seen the field

He's still got time to improve - but so far Jahmyr Gibbs been a complete bust

EDIT: I'm being sarcastic (to show RB pass pro is overrated)

Give me MOAR Fletcher and Pringle in the 2 back. We have been running some RPO in that set and a Pringle/Fletcher combo gives you everything. Pringle on that RPO pass in the flat would be deadly or Fletch can run, or Fletch can lead block for Pringle. The LB will have to account for Fletcher up the middle on that pass option to Pringle outside. Deadly.

I said this same thing after seeing it on Friday. Makes way more sense than the Marty/Fletch combo we throw out there more often
