A one read mobile lefty. He played well off missed sacks by our defense. Outside of their empty set I don’t think he had a traditional drop back pass. Every thing was off play fake hence why the nickel blitz was so lethal. It speed up his read.

Our dline can’t finish negative plays consistently. Gio did a good job however like you said we should’ve finished up more.

Ended up with 3 sacks, 4 if you count the safety.

We left at least 7-8 sacks on the field… game would have been different if those were finished.

you can tell he’s a lot more comfortable in this offense that they also ran when he was at South Alabama.

They’re a solid bowl team. Don’t know if they hit the 9 win mark like they did last year but I think they can get to 7.
 
He actually was genuinely really poor when we didn’t send the house. He benefited from bad zone 3 and isolations against defenders that don’t belong in man in the redzone.

Was lucky we were unaware this wasn’t thud practice also
