I'm no doctor but I've studied a lot about football head and neck injuries. From what I saw his head wasn't in a position where it looked like a C4 fracture or spinal injury. In fact he had his facemask up which is exactly what you're supposed to do. My guess (and don't take this to the bank) is that he got knocked out cold, has a concussion, and all that was precautionary, which they do now for anything that violent with the head and/or neck. Hope I'm right.

For the most part you would correct. There was certain things observed and being asked that would’ve created more of a sense of urgency to his injury. The modt important things though couldn’t have been done there like CT scans.

Them announcing he was awake and responsive to staff did very little calm my nerves when they said **** all about his feeling/movement of extremities.

Looked like rapid deceleration type concussion. He came at a slight angle took the hit in the just high chest and although not hit directly in the head it snapped back and he dropped like he was out cold.

Feel bad he wasn't with his team to celebrate in the locker afterwards and later tonight.

Obviously his health trumps all that but these athletes live and play for these moments in the locker room after wins like that.
