And I will try to avoid tweeting about the #Hurricanes' coaching issues. But when three MIA players are balling against top competition...

Al isn't changing anything. That would mean he has to admit that he is wrong on something.

That will never happen.

"Right" and "wrong" are ethical, religious and moral concepts.

Effective and ineffective are the practical concerns of a man's world.

IMO Al either doesn't understand that his coaching scheme (or schemes)
is (or are) -conceptually- practically ineffective, as implemented....

Or he doesn't comprehend that he and the staff seem inadequate in properly explaining an otherwise effective scheme to his (pretty evidently) naturally talented players.

His failures to recognize and/or adjust are IMO far more profoundly troubling than a simple character flaw, such as stubbornness.

You might be able to change or improve his character profile by taking him aside and "sharing".

It's evident to me that he is of the honest and reasoned opinion that the effectiveness of his schemes (as designed) and his staff's implementation of those schemes are both conceptually and fundamentally sound.

This IMO explains everything found troubling, and the subject matter of so many posts, e.g., throwing players under the bus for lack of execution, pointing to stats as confirmation that he's on the right track, blaming outside influences for the team's poor performance ("the cloud", the "noise", etc.)

The problem is not his character (as in:"he's a liar" - Tressel was a documented liar and a good coach.). Al's not a liar IMO. In terms of effectiveness, and not morality, it's much worse.

I think he actually, honestly, and truly believes he's correct.

His cognitive ineffectiveness is the problem (so how can he possibly fix that problem, it's not situational it's structural) and that problem is not gonna get fixed with a good "talking to" by the BOT, the new prez or AD, Jimmy Johnson, banners, the Cowboy's staff, or the countless posts referencing his weight, body parts, homosexual acts, etc.

IMO he either competently, completely and effectively delegates important cognitive coaching functions regarding scheme, it's implementation, player understanding, game time adjustments, etc., to capable subordinates, and then let's them do their job, or he's gone within the year.

I expect the latter.

Do you think Al would be more amenable to running an aggressive 4-3 if we told him that we will give him a dozen donuts or some other high calorie treat for every sack or TFL the defense amasses in an aggressive 4-3 scheme? A sort of donut and stick, if you will?

If Al wanted this program to win, he would have changed his approach a long time ago. Nothing will change as long as he's here.

this. OP doesnt understand that this soft 3-4 **** is all Alfraud knows. it is his nature to be soft and conservative. we saw his version of a 4-3 in 2011 anyways and it sucked. same soft *** philosophy with different alignments

Good Luck man, stubborn Al Golden isn't going to listen to anyone, he would most likely respond with "Our defense was ranked 15th nationally, why do we need to change it."

That's 15 for yards allowed... Now where are we on sacks, INT's, hurries, forced fumbles, TFL and 3rd down stops... bottom of the pile... when you play scared, safe, not to lose, bend but don't break defense yes you may allow a few yards here and there... But when you play attack defense all those things I mention go up... and less yards allowed...

Biased. Hard-headed. Arrogant. Unwilling to admit error and mistake and... extended to 2019. The Hurricanes are coached by a functional ****** (no offense to the handicapped).

4-3 1 gap cover 1 man to man aggressive defense is the one adjustment that could bring this program back we need golden to understand this and get this message to him in love for gods sake

Look man, Miami won't do anything as long as golden is the hc. Doesn't matter what scheme he runs.
