Get these fvckin youngsters on the field!

I'm just glad the recruits see they can actually see the field instead of ride the pine.

Our youngsters at the skill positions are super talented.... No question in my mind Lingawd should garner more carries and crack top 3 in rotation....
Absolutely love the young TE's. We should be set at that position for the next few years at least.... The WR group will wreak havoc IF we can get adequate play from the QB position and based on what we saw from our backup QB's tonight, I think it's likely... On defensive side, Nesta needs to get on the field and play.... I liked what I saw from the young DB's as well. #GoCanes

Absolutely I just didn’t want to rustle any jimmies because people love homer on here
I like Homer, but like Rosier, he is a place holder for a more talented player.

Anyone notice how our O line looked better when we put the other QBs and RBs in? Was it just me, or did the line look better? I know part of it is SSU wearing down, but early on we just looked dead out there.

Why do our players tend to have good freshmen years and never build on that

This bothered me the most with Stacey Coley, had a great freshman year then never looked like that although he finished his career at Miami strong

Good example. Jesus Christo. I’m afraid I might catch the dumb soon.

Go Canes!

****** coaching/systems cause them to regress. They look good their first year because of natural talent/athletic ability. The longer they are in the system the more they seem to decline

Seriously? You aren't at all alone in thinking this, but come on. You really think that the OL is capable of being better, they just don't do it because they don't like Rosier? Did you happen to see a Perry get sacked by his own RB who got manhandled by an unblocked DT? I'm just saying.

Yeah, all the backups looked good and that's good news, but let's slow our roll. The other team was not very good, tired, and on the way to quitting by the time Perry came in. And they only got worse from there. This is like when that fsu fan tried to say Gus was good because he'd come in during garbage time and average 9 YPC.

Like I said, the backups looked good but don't get carried away.

Couldn’t agree more ... just hope richt pulls the trigger

Did I say they play better or worse because of their feelings for Rosier? No.

There is an old saying about how a good QB can make an average line look great, but a bad QB can make a good OL look bad. I think better QB play, and decisions, makes the line look better.

OK, but the point remains. The OL looked less retched because the other team was outclassed, tired, and demoralized.

As much as anyone I want the young guys to come in and grab those starting jobs and be stars, I just think people ignore facts in favor of thinking the young guys are saviors. Every year there are 7 FR who are the future saviours, then 2 years later 1 of them is a starter. It's just the nature of football...at each level very talented people fall by the wayside or at least aren't as impressive as previously assumed.

Playing well tonight is encouraging, but it doesn't mean much. The OL needs to be better all the time, but just for particular QBs or when the other team is tired.

I do like Homer, Lingard is a better prospect though. Homer should be RB1 all year barring health IMO. Homer and Dallas will be a formidable duo Its OK to work Linguard in through out the year. We can't just play all frosh

I know it was just a scrub team, but sometimes you can just see - Lingard has it. Gore used to mop up in the 4th quarter when he was a young kid, and we all could tell he was going to be great. Lingard, hey sometimes these highly touted recruits are highly touted for a reason. Looks like the real deal.

Well, it was bad coaching with Randy, and bad coaching with Golden, so.......

coaches from other schools looking at film of this game after drooling all over themselves would shake their head and say "how in the wide world of sports are these talented young Miami kids not starting and on the field" ?
