This is a square peg being stuck in a round hole. King clearly can’t run it and doesn’t want to run it. The play gets blown up a majority of the time. Put in some tosses, sweeps, stretch plays, but please anything other then this play. And Gacia and VD don’t seem like the players to run that play either. Time to scrap it Lashlee. We don’t have Marshall running around back there.
I know that Lash has some tosses, sweeps, and stretch plays in his ****nal...........but I have not seen that part of our game, in normal pace or hurry up.
I thought Lash would mix things up, and also lessen the need for King to keep scrambling to move the chains.
Every scramble opens up the chance for him to get hit where it hurts and make a shambles of this team for the rest of the year.
King needs help back there, and as of now, Lashlee has not been helping in the plays that have been called.
One more thing.....many posters says that Lashlee makes calls............. and the players are not running the play or cutting plays off and not completing routes.
Pockets, tosses, and sweeps are basic plays that beat straight hand off runs up the middle into a brick wall.............and that is what I have seen in our first two games.
Give our RB's a chance to do something that is not showing up on tape........... and that the opponents have been looking for and adjusting while shutting us down for minimal gains. That is what is happening now.
We HAVE to do something different on O in order to put up points and vary our plays.
We CANNOT depend on ST's to keep us in a game, and our red zone conversions to points must be more aggressive.( no conversion on 4 th from the 1 foot line????????)...and **** this rotation is driving me nuts.......play as if we mean to win, and keep our key players in.....****........Coaches we need to look like we know what the **** we are doing..
