Get a Grip People.... my obsevations

Its game 1 everybody here's my take on it....everybody bringing out the negatives, but there were some positive moments...
POSITIVES
* We actually generated a pretty good pass rush..had a few strip sacks

* Not many missed tackles...quite a few tackles for loss

* LBs played decent..Perryman (of course), with Armbrister

*Our secondary is special maybe one or two broken coverages, but overall solid

* Most importantly, our D didn't give up 500 yards and were pretty stout....3 and outs on offense killed us....

*Kaaya looked good for a freshman. He made late mistakes but overall he's goin to be very good

*Duke, Dorsett, and Malcolm Lewis all look faster and healthy..will be big in the long run

NEGATIVES

* Our Veteran O line freakin sucked! No protection too many tackles for loss and dumb *** penalties

* lost red zone opportunities (should let duke just run it)

* too many WR screen passes (Coley catches that low ball, we have all momentum) Kaaya rushed it..plus should have been a penalty on Louiville (13men on field)

All in all I was ok with the defense, but the O Line is what really killed us..better protection better productivity

Golden said that was was suppose to be QB run but Kaaya got scared.

the defense "improvement" line is really really ***cing weak at this point. we had the same fools gold last year.

the UL QB and their WRs (along with the refs) tried their best to keep us in the game. keep in mind that the 2 best players on the UL offense were out for the game. marinate on that.

there is absolutely no doubt that F/A/G is a goner. in reality he shoulda been fired after the bowl game.

Not necessarily... Last year our couldnt generate nada aginst the pass last year and we continously played out of position... I was really impressed with Kamalu and Armbrister, they played well..so they are getting coached up its just seems like offense last year put up numbers and defense sucked, now so far offense suckin and defense playing decent....its only one game, but we will see..

Get a grip it's only gonna get worse....Get a grip were only wasting some of the best talent to come out of south florida....Get a grip our coaches don't know how to adjust... Get a grip we've had the #1 recruiting class in the coastal the past four years and it's meant nothing...Get a grip we play Nebraska in 2 more weeks.... Get a grip seriously man? This is mediocre talk, let it be known that your disillusioned with the way the program is headed if you don't it will only get worse...

Are you crazy because you believe everything you said or because you posted it today thinking it would go over well?

With the exception of a few plays, I would say their QB had all day to throw.

There was a lot of positives in this game. The problem is the staff doesn't correct any of the issues during preparation week. Even in game adjustments were non existent. The left side of the oline played decent. But even with Te help the right side couldn't stop me. McDermott should have played once Gadbois was getting killed. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the right side was weak. So they blitzed the crap out of that side. Should have played McDermott if he is gonna play this season.

If you are a Lewyville fan...None for Miami fans. If you see positives please take your **** stained glasses off and see an eye doctor ASAP

So you're saying our defense allowing 330 yards to a Petrino coached team and forcing two turnovers isn't a positive. It's not the defense's fault the offense only scored 3 points on 2 red zone turnovers. It's not the defenses fault a kick was returned for a td. I just remember watching this team march up and down the field last December. That didn't happen. I think that should be considered a positive.

We also played "good" D last year first game against UF, thanks to some fortunate turnovers...but look how we finished the year.

It's easy to come out for one big game at the beginning of the year and play solid D, let's see what we do against Nebraska, UNC, FSU, Va Tech, etc etc....

The drives that mattered, they did what they wanted against us. Sure, did we have some good defensive possessions, yes. But you cannot compare this to the rustled athletic bowl in regards to doing better vs them. That offense was much better with a legit QB and all the weapons that were not on the field last night. They played a kid at QB that had never started a game before, played their back up HB and had their best player on offense out with injury yet they still moved the ball when necessary and basically kicked the shlt out of us. We did have some nice stops and turnovers but they also had a lot of drives stall due strictly to dropped balls or horrible passes to open receivers. It could have been much worse, and if they had a game ready QB along with their starting HB and DeVontae at WR they would have put up another 14-21 points and another 200yds of offense. It was a semi mirage because Louisville is not a good football team this year. They will struggle mightily when they play a team with a pulse, which we are certainly not.

Wait. This corching staff says yards don't matter. How is that now a positive? What about the 31 points ?

My biggest problem with this staff is that there are no adjustments after halftime or during the game. Ok, we go into the half in the games against FSU, VT, and Duke last year right there with all of those teams; when the second half begins, we stay complacent and get our brains kicked in. Last night, we go into the half down by 4 w/ the defense only giving up 7 points. We come out and immediately go 3 and out on back to back drives. We are a very complacent team and that's the m.o. of Golden's tenure here. F the cloud and F the excuses. Our boys are not allowed to play football. The DB's are still 10 yrds off. Al said in 2011 that the reason they are playing like that is b/c they don't have the athletes to play bump and run...now we do and we're still running the same crap. LB's are still covering WRs. DE's are still playing "wait and see" football. We are not a downhill team on either side of the ball when all we have is DOWN HILL F'N PLAYERS!!! The problem w/ lies is that they are hard to keep up w/. Al is showing himself to be a liar and unaccountable for the diaster he's created w/ his staff at coordinating positions. Coley maybe a great recruiter, but he should not be anywhere near calling plays. Onofrio should not be anywhere near football, period.

Why don't you suck my formidable *******, you dusty old ****. Maybe if you weren't such a confetti-throwing ******, you wouldn't have the same record in wars that Golden has in games this season.

a young ok state pushed FSU to limit, WVU definitely has less taken than us and pushed bama to the limit.

Positives:

We had some penetration by the DL which gave the offense two huge gifts at the 10 yard line....

A couple of pass break-ups

Until the 4th the defense played hard

WR's and TE were open all game long

With exception of one punt the punter did well (he had plenty of tries)

Negatives:

We got some dumb asses on the team. I mean an O-line running downfield on a pass play? That **** is Pop Warner league man. Even the announcers were baffled someone would do that in a college game. Stacey Coley fielding a punt at his 2 with 3 UL guys right there to tackle him? Brad Kaka throwing a screen backwards and of course at the feet of the WR. Durrr...

I honestly am not sure who is teaching these kids to block, thinking maybe they hired some matadores (Ole!) from Spain or something. The O-line lost tons of 1 vs 1 battles. The WR's....I mean they need to watch tape of Louisville on offense so our WR's can learn how to block. It was almost comical. UL ran a bubble screen = 10 yard pick-up with the corners getting pancacked. Miami ran a bubble screen = 3 yard tackle loss by the corners. And nobody picked up their blitzes...I mean all game long. Their DC must have been laughing all the way to the bank. 3rd down...hmm, let's see, BLITZ! Again!, for the 11th straight time. Durrr....

Someone needs to tell our team and defensive coaches that the middle of the field is fair game. I mean other teams are allowed to throw there. You gotta defend it. Sounds like crazy talk I know but it really is.

Defense quit in the 4th, and I don't blame em. I mean, why bother?

Kaka looked like Kyle Wright out there. Not entirely his fault, as like our aforementioned former quarterback his first season curse is to be saddled with a **** offensive line. Basically though, when he feels rushed, he throws like garbage. Anyone can throw when they can sit back there a sip on a cup of coffee. I hope he gets better, but so far color me unimpressed.

Special teams under Golden has always found a way to crap up one or two crucial plays a game. They play fine 80-90% of the time but then they find a way to completely derail the team when it is getting some momentum. Pay attention, you'll see it's a trend.

Running against 9 man fronts doesn't usually work.

UL is NOT a good team folks. Get this in your head. They replaced 5 of their front 7. Played without their best wr and rb. Played with a first time starter at QB who did not impress me. Played under a COMPLETELY NEW COACHING STAFF. They remind me of Maryland under Golden's debut. Looked solid against us of course but then proceeded to lose most of their games.

I am not seeing improvement here. Not seeing 4 out of 5 years of out recruiting everyone in the coastal type of performance. Not seeing how this team will exceed the performance of a Randy Shannon or Larry Coker led team?

these are just a few thing I noticed and how I would change it.

Kirby played poor, no impact at all.
Isidora was horrible...where was his head at?
Stacy Coley was none existant
Phillip Dorsett was way too out of control
