Georgia tech

Oh yeah, the guys have mailed it in already. No way we stop Tech under No D's "scheme" and lack of adjustments. I expect for them to run for at least 500 yards on us.

That team is reeling and injured on both sides of the ball. Many linemen hurt. Freshmen all over the field. They gave it a big prime time effort against Virginia Tech but fell short. Now they are eliminated from bowl consideration and could be due for a flat outing.

There's very little speed option in that offense this year. With the offensive line so young and ineffective they have struggled to get anything going. The Hokies shut out the offense in the second half. Justin Thomas' passing woes really show up when he's forced to throw as opposed to last season when it was a luxury.

There's a great tipoff every season on how good Georgia Tech's offense will be: When Paul Johnson is abusing the quick rocket toss to the outside, it means he has very little confidence in his base offense. That play is not an option play at all. It is a desperate gimmick to get to the corner when otherwise the corner is not available. Late last season when everything was clicking and they had guys like Shaq Mason at guard, that rocket toss was all but absent. Now they are utilizing that play to absurd degree. They ran it 10 times against Virginia Tech by early second quarter. Bud Foster finally adjusted to it in the second half and it was wiped out in key situations.

Granted, our defense is capable of making anybody look good. Still, if Kaaya has a decent game we should win.
