I don't understand burning Torres. There was nobody ready to go with Chestnut's pitch count high for a reliever.

They do this all the time and it just make me scratch my head. Despite the big lead, Chestnut was over 50 pitches which is high for a reliever. He's going to tire quickly and did. We're always making the change after the damage is done instead of anticipating a tired arm before he gets into trouble. They know, they just try to stretch everyone.

I'd rather bring in another arm other than Torres before the trouble began. This way Torres and Walters would be available for game 2 which is looking like a 5 inning game with rain imminent.
