Pops was a bad man

Was impressed by Mirabal & Mario. Sounds like he's a long way from committing anywhere.

“Their offensive line is big,” Selvie said. “They have some big boys. Their technique is so sound. It’s so perfect. I was looking at them and was like, ‘wow, I need to be doing this now.’ They are so technically sound in everything they do. I feel like I can fit in as a guard or maybe a tackle if I grow a few inches. I think I can learn the system and fit in well.”

Miami widening its lead for elite 2028 OL George Selvie

Miami continues to strengthen its position for Riverview (Fla.) Sumner offensive lineman George Selvie. The elite 2028 prospect has offers from many of the nation’s top programs, but the Hurricanes have emerged as the clear favorite. Selvie visited Coral Gables earlier this month, and Miami’s consistent communication has made a major difference.

He hears from Mario Cristobal, offensive line coach Alex Mirabal and other staff members almost daily. No program is recruiting him harder.

Florida State remains involved, and Selvie likes the people in Tallahassee. He also wants to learn more about offensive line coach Phil Trautwein. Florida could get him on campus in November, while Ohio State has been on his radar.

The expectation continues to grow that Selvie stays in-state. Miami has led for some time, and that advantage appears to be growing as November approaches.
