George Pickens

If he'd have come here he probably would've barely produced and ruined his chances at a NFL career. Tell me again how many top talents we've gotten in the past 10 years that under produced, we ruined, misused, or forced to leave.

I'll start a quick list:

Lingard - portal
Pope - 277 yards 2TD in 2 years - 5 star and 5th best WR in the country
Hightower - 148 yards 1TD in 2 years
Dionte Mullins - 53 yards 0TD in 2 years
Jeff Thomas - 900 yards 8 TDs 3 years (left once) *not a bust , but not eye-popping numbers for the UA game MVP
Gus Edwards - transferred because of playing time. Sees more playing time for the Ravens now than he saw here.
Storm Johnson - 9 carries here for 119 yards. Transferred to UCF for 1700 yards an 18 TDs in 2 years. Playing time in NFL.

Need spread. It's funny how our guys are always too dumb to learn the playbook but no one has ever thought maybe our "pro style" offense is the problem until now.

This pro style offense barely exists in the NFL anymore, this is the equivalent of us running that Saban 3-4 , when we recruit in 4-3 players

It's not "just not getting them" It's NOT getting them because believe it if you will, word is out on the Iack of ability of us not putting a staff together that can win in college and develop them for the league.

Exactly. Keep in mind Andrew, that UGA actually got outbid on Haselwood, so they "had to" up their ante for Pickens.

Exactly. It was Auburn. We were never in it for Pickens. UGA made it sweet for Pickens. They couldn't have another Haselwood situation.

We were absolutely in it. It went down to the wire. Him and his mother decided that evening late. He’s a great kid. His biggest want, was to play right away. They had no one. They got Cager after he committed. His experience at Hoover wasn’t all that, because they tried to keep him off the field. He played on the same 7/7 (Cam’s) team with Jadon in ATL. Yes they drove a ton for him. Think whatever you want. David Cooney is a beast. If we didn’t lose the last four games in 18, we might have had.... we just need to win. Kids want to win
