She said Miami might get Camara. That was the extent of it. Never said would or is expected to get. All she offered was a source told her Miami was in talks.I’ll believe it when I see it. Michelle Kaufman was wrong about Camara, the Georgia transfer who ended up at Dayton

Big Guard at 6'6 (hence the "leading rebounder" headline). Looks like an average 3 pt shooter (33% in each of his three years at Mason). Looks useful, like a replacement for Olaniyi, or McGusty (if he doesn't return).
From his Mason bio:
2020-21: All-A-10 Third Team...Led Mason in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg) while ranking third in assists (40) and steals (19)...sixth in the A-10 in offensive rebounding (2.4/game), 10th in scoring and 11th in field goal percentage (.463)...Tallied at least 13 points in each of the final 11 games of the season...Poured in 25+ points twice and notched two double-doubles over the season's final four games...DC Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team (20.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 56.4 FG%)...Team highs in points (19), rebounds (9), steals (4) vs. Belmont...Started 6-of-6 from 3, finished with 30 points (8-10 3pt FG), eight rebounds in win vs. Howard...Notched a game-high 26 points to go along with team highs in rebounds (8) and assists (5) in the Dec. 30 win at UMass...Registered 10 points and eight rebounds (four offensive) vs. La Salle on Jan. 13...Game-high 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-8 3pt FG) at Rhode Island...Notched 17 points and six rebounds in double OT win vs. Saint Joseph’s on Jan. 20...Tallied team-high 19 points (3-4 3pt FG) at St. Bonaventure...Posted 16 points, a team-high nine rebounds and three steals in the Feb. 20 OT win at VCU...Double-double vs. GW (14 pts, 15 reb) included 10 rebounds on the offensive glass...Double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) in A-10 second round win over George Washington.
Even after the usual consideration for 3pointer attempts, his 46.3% shooting would be a real improvement over most of the current year players easily.Just what we need, another wing that can't shoot.
Miami is not a bad place for a mid major wanting his shot at the big leagues.Over/under 6 months before he gets kicked off the team.
Any kid transferring into this dumpster fire of a program must have a ***** loose.
If by the “big leagues” you mean the Greek league, you are correct.Miami is not a bad place for a mid major wanting his shot at the big leagues.
Is it official?Decent pickup. Need more shooters. And a big who can actually rebound would be nice.
Probably notIs it official?
My 9th grade son plays AAU and loves Miami - he's available in three years!Miami is not a bad place for a mid major wanting his shot at the big leagues.
