George Brown transferring

thats how i remember it too. they count towards your previous years counters

NCAA changed the rules.

December 2017 Wiltfong article:

Every year around National Signing Day, the question arises. How do programs sign more than 25 players when that is the limit put in place for each school?

The answer is simple: up to five early enrollees are allowed to count toward the previous class.

The better overall question is this. Why does anyone think we have any count-backs left? We have enrolled nearly every NSD signee for the past few years, plus we have taken transfers. Every new scholarship player counts, not just freshmen, except for walk-ons.

It doesn't matter if it is a message board. You are posting false information, telling people we will have a 32 person signing class.

You simply choose not to address the fact that Miami did NOT "take 18" last year for IC purposes.

Michigan "took 30"? How is that a violation of 25 + 5 countbacks? You are just bad at math.

More importantly, "signees" and "enrollees" are two different things. I don't care if you have a signing class of 85, you're not enrolling them all. You can't. There are no "ways around it".

This is the problem on this board, people google the size our signing classes, use their Windows calculators, and pretend as if they know the rules. Just stop lying in your posts, and people will "lighten up".

Not to pick at feathers, a talent you hold the title for, but there is a delta between “lying” and “not knowing”. I had a lot of fun before a Grand Jury once about the definition of “truth” but this is merely a message board and I think you should at least offer a choice: are you lying, or merely uninformed? I suppose one could lie about being informed but that might be splitting feathers.

Me, I don’t know crap about the count issues in recruiting so I render no opinion. Still, the topic is interesting with or without the falling bombs, so you two have fun.

And when he is informed of the truth, and continues to make up crap, it turns into a full-participation lie.

Miami signed 18 kids in the signing class. Assuming that everyone enrolls (I know one has not yet enrolled), we also added KJ Osborn, Tate Martell, Tommy Kennedy, Trevon Hill, Chigozie Nnoruka, Bubba Bolden, Jaelan Phillips, and Asa Martin since January. That is 8 additional ICs. So we have 26 to get into either the 2019 IC class or POSSIBLY into the 2018 class, assuming we have UP TO FIVE COUNT-BACKS (and there is no guarantee we have that number of slots).

You can whine about "falling bombs" and "picking at feathers", but it is so easy to figure out that transfers count as ICs. Nearly every poster mentions it. If someone doesn't understand the rules, he can choose not to post.

Anyhow, we are not taking 32 in the signing class. It's just impossible.

And posters who post incorrect information are not big on admitting their mistakes. Happens all the time.

Just wanted to make sure you still liked to fight over most anything. You did not disappoint. You are always worth reading but you might want to start an aspirin regiment if you haven’t already.
