When people say Luke Nickel is just starting to flash, I can’t help but ask when exactly would a true freshman (2nd semester high school senior) flash before the Spring game? It is as though people haver never played sports and just expect a player, much less a QB, to take a major step up in competition, learn entirely new terminology and plays, and flash from day one. It does not happen for anyone.

Luke Nickel is not behind or ahead, he is on schedule.
 
Guess the portal stuff is still pretty hush hush based on that...

Malik Morris & Chauncey Kennon would be big gets, sounds like they could both legit be in the class.

Luke should be passed them. He's a significantly more talented and higher rated prospect than either of them. The conversation needing to be had is why are we misevaluating so many qb's ? Judd over Bailey, not seeing Rashada's obvious questionable character, etc.

I can remember when Arch Manning would get some snaps as a Fr. I was thinking, WTF. He didn’t know what was happening. But, PT, extra work, allowing the game to slow down and then their talent takes over. Some faster than others. Luke’s all good.

especially when he was playing with the walk ons and 3rd teamers most of the spring...
