Yesteryear's price isn't this year's price, so....if he can come at discount by all means.

Of all the DT's we missed in 24 and have NOT panned out yet, I'm most interested in Breland.

Yeah really thought Stone and Breland were the top two I saw but Stone was at the top

Scott was up there as well

That class was loaded. Still a ways to go before we figure out if anyone hasn’t panned out

IIRC Geo looked pretty silly (along with some others) when Stone committed to OU so interesting he would hint at it again

Honestly given the rumors, lets just combine the two and get Darrell Jackson and David Stone. That'd be pretty ideal tbh.
We will NEED DT next year for sure. Stone would be awesome to get. Him and Justin Scott for next year.... I'd be very happy with that portal DT haul personally. It'd probably cost more than just getting 1 top DT though... but hey we just saved on Hortons NIL....

How much were we paying Horton that money saved could be spent on Stone. Again Horton was 3 star recruit

Money saved on Horton + money we were expecting to pay a DT anyways. And personally I'd push Lucas to Safety and push the money for a starting S into the DT pot.

OP updated as this omission is now relevant. Not just Geo, D$ got blind sided here too.

Never really discussed, got interrupted by Mason Thomas discussion.
Edit: topic came up again later in the podcast where viewer asked about Stone and the portal. Geo went into depth about how Miami and all beat reporters were shocked when he picked the Sooners.

Pretty sure his family was shocked he picked OU. If I remember correctly it looked like they had Miami colors on because he was supposed to pick Miami.
