“They kind of hopped in a little last minute, but ever since then they’ve been 100% full-force effort,” Mueller told CaneSport. “They told me that. They were like, ‘We know we’re late,’ but they said when they go to put their head on the pillow December 3 (the start of the Early Signing Period) they want to be able to say they did everything they could to get me, so I’m definitely feeling that.”

“Definitely the tight end production (is intriguing),” Mueller said. “It’s considered Tight End U by some people and just the coaching staff. A school can be Tight End U, but that doesn’t mean they’ve still got the same coaches here. I like the group of people here and definitely the players are great.”

Mueller added he’s “definitely feeling the love out here” and is getting “real comfortable with the coaching staff. He called Miami a “great environment” and said the game day experience was awesome.

“I loved how the offense was rolling,” Mueller said. “I loved the creativity. It’s a great group of kids out there too. I met a bunch of them and they just love football. It’s a great group of kids and that makes for a great offense and defense. Obviously you can look at the offensive points but the defense stopped them. Once they started putting the backups in they gave up a couple of points, but that defense is insane.”
