Gattis as a head coach candidate

Charlotte please don't take this innovative, hard working, winning coach away from us. Also please don't take our strength and conditioning coach, running back coach and our qb coach.
They will take you guys to levels you never knew could exist. So please don't take them from us. Thank you

After a 5 month search, Mario would find Ponce as new OC. 😨

Even without the current results, this (paying Ponce 2M to be your OC or not using 2M to acquire a top OC) would have been a difficult move to justify. With our current results including Ponce, the optics (not to mention the plain logic) are even worse for Mario. I believe Mario has cornered himself, thankfully, into one move: adjust the entire philosophy. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking.
 
I think he's aware this year isn't doing anything to help his legacy and he most likely moves on after this year. Not sure what teams would take him as a HC after this year Charlotte sounds about right if he can't get an offer he likes. Either way he's gone. Not sure he wants to grind with Mario here.

Manny on his pod w the tax attorney alluded to this. if the answer is getting rid of gattis and promoting your boy from back in the day who isnt qualified to be a QB coach let alone an OC HERE (his results as QB coach so far have been as bad as Gattis as a WR coach/OC and Addae as a DB coach and recruiter). thats no different than golden keeping his boy around forever or richt refusing to fire his son.

idk if its the grind more so the micromanagement maybe? it is Marios vision hes executing. the other OC candidates turned him down for a reason.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. Charlotte probably isn't what he was hoping for or expecting but at this point he needs a fresh start to rebuild his reputation and he's probably not getting a P5 OC gig after this season.

So his options are stay at Miami (if that's even an option) or take the first HC or comparable OC job offered to him.

Ted Roof still has a career in CFB despite being the absolute worst coach imaginable at every school he's ever been at, so yeah there's no shortage of schools who will see "Broyles Award winner" and wanna give him the opportunity.
