It seems like you'd have to try to mess that up. Although, it's pretty clear that Locksley knows what he's doing since he's been solid at Maryland.

I'm curious how Tommy Reese is going to do there now.

I have no idea how Maryland does recruiting/winning so I'll take your word for it

Their offense has been generally good since Locksley took over in 2019. Well, they sucked in 2019 but have been pretty good since.

I dont think they care as much because its Locksleys offense and he will probably be the play caller. Then you got Sumlin as co OC.

The role Gattis is in at Maryland wont be nearly as important as his role when he was here even though the title is technically the same.

If they want to win titles they going about it all wrong but if they win to have decent seasons by all means do u.

Maryland isn't a program that can realistically compete for titles. 90% of the teams in FBS can't. About the best they can hope for is winning seasons with occasional bowl wins. There's a reason why the same teams are in the playoffs every year.

Your right, in this era I think it's less than 10% but sure someone could surprise, but that's not anytime soon.

Thanks. Sounds like what others on here have been saying allllll along.

Nobody liked him, and he won't even be running "his" offense.

I do question why they think we are paying for him? Was that not the hold up in the first place (for cause)?

I don’t think that’s general knowledge yet outside the immediate Canes boards. And truthfully, it’s been made more clear here than anywhere else.

I'm okay with second chances. It's entirely possible that a coach - like anyone - can reflect, correct, and adapt based on successes and failures.

Thanks to Maryland we have this stupid ACC contract costing us money and all leverage of leaving this stupid conference. So F em.
