Gator Infighting…A Beautiful Thing! I’ve never said this in my life, but when considering the aforementioned sentence and dry heaving as I choke down vomit, I say…Go Gators!
Purely by happenstance I stumbled onto a public conversation, amongst the laughably called ‘Gator Nation’ folks, about who will be the next Florida head football coach.
Well, there is now an all out war as to who will replace McElwain. The really fun part is how they are tearing apart their former coaches (Urban Meyers as an example) as a way of bad mouthing the current crop of replacement coaches claiming they would be worse than the bums of the past.
This current Gator hair on fire episode is beginning to go from bad to worse as no matter who they hire a considerable percentage of their toothless fan base are going to be furious.
Is it not hilarious that in an attempt to save their sinking ship the Gators appointed a former Miami Hurricane, Randy Shannon, to save them? Of course, this will allow them to blame Shannon for their disaster of a program, while somehow also authoring yet another excuse as to why they cowardly quit the UM/UF series.
With a little luck, this situation could tailspin into a Tennessee like implosion. Or, even worst yet, college football’s version of the…wait for it…Miami Dolphins!
I still miss the greatest Gator hater of them all…Walt Kichefski.
