Gator DT...

D'antre played at Jones in Orlando with a few current & future Canes. He got his momma a house last year and went viral the doig it. The big caution here is this could be a re-up NIL tactic to get more $$ gator money or drop down in competition to a place like UCF since he was backup all year at UF.

2024 SEASON: Played in 11 games this season with one start... Recorded 17 tackles (seven solo), 3.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and QB hurry.

Not a ton of snaps but still some decent experience. Turned it on towards the end of the year when that defense started playing a little better.

Looks like slight improvement as season went on maybe. UGA worst game, but their Center and guard are about to be drafted 2nd/3rd round, and another guard about to be drafted in like the 4th/5th.

Regardless he looks like possibly the clear best option for us available in the portal at the moment, given Fely appears not to have been the build we wanted. This dude seems like a reasonable get as DT4 for us...

Almost all the DTs in the portal are <300lbs and/or from lower programs.

definitely wouldn’t give him a big NIL deal but he did show some nice flash in his true freshman season… good talent and of course it’s always good to steal one from your rival.

Can you imagine the UF **** burglars if D'Antre Robinson gets a couple sacks when we whip them again five months from now

It’s encouraging that he didn’t just rack up numbers and playing time against the weakest teams on the schedule. (Besides the obvious, FSU) They were pretty good defensively against anyone besides Miami too. I like this move.
