Gary Patterson is a bad man

Proving it again on National Television tonight. The fight being shown by his team is quite impressive.

I had actually turned this game off...thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Patterson has always been #1 on my list, whether he is realistic I don't care. He's great.
 
It didn't work out but I love that he rode the momentum and had the balls to go for two.
 
I would even take him over Butch. Can't believe we had a chance to hire dude a few years ago, and Donna and Co. screwed it up. She hired Randy!!! FML

I was pretty rustled when I read that Patterson was to be interviewed and then we hired RS. Neinas - I'm looking at you, *****.

Has always been No1 on my list. You would think that he would feel maxxed out at TCU and that a great pitch and the right money could convince him to come to UM. However, the more I look at the situation he has at TCU the more I think he is in it for the long haul. I think Patterson wants to be one of those coaching icons that builds a powerhouse program from nothing like Paterno and Bowden. That's too bad because he could do amazing things here.

As far as having the opportunity to hire him in 07, yes its unfortunate but I firmly believe that when he realized that the administration(Shalala) had zero interest in winning he would have been out of here at the first chance he got.

To be fair Neinas probably set up the Patterson interview. It was Donna that decided she had seen enough and Randy was the guy.

Were you guys watching the same game? TCU had all the momentum and Trevor Knight was imploding. You tie it up and take your chances in OT.

that's exactly why he went for two he had a banged up team and wanted to steal a win and get out of there, its easy to second guess him after the fact though

As Briles is the king of Waco, so is Patterson the king of Fort Worth. Might not sound like much to you guys who think that Texas is dirt and tumbleweeds, but these guys live like kings and are loved beyond measure where they're at with minimal risk and no reason to believe it will stop for them anytime soon. They have fan bases that love them and an admin that will do anything for them - there's no doubt that these ADs want to win. Unfortunately we haven't been able to say the same about UM.
