Garvin to the

Disappeared all of last year and cost himself a lot of money. I do think he’ll make the roster and make it to a second contract. Best of luck to him.

If Garvin doesn’t leave I don’t think we get Roche so I can’t be mad with the results. At least he got drafted so the coaches can claim another total to the DEs that have been picked the last 5 years.

Roche better be as good as advertised because if this lazy **** comes back, we don’t get Roche. Hopefully Roche has a year so we could forget about Garvin’s lazy *** quick.

Him and Bandy should have came back. I understand Dallas going early and I do think it paid off well enough for him considering coming off an injury but those 2 never should have thought about leaving.

Garvin also disappeared for most of last year and this past year.

Even with Greg dominating he still couldn’t ramp it up and steal some sacks or TFL

I don’t know the kid personally but it’s been said that most sacks are a hustle stat.. and let’s be honest kid didn’t seem to have that dawg in him.
I dunno about that. Watch the 2019 FSU game. He gets pumped up. I hear what you’re saying though.

Turning it on during one game then disappearing till the Duke game (I think Mel kiper brought up how he underperformed all season then turned it on during the last game with 10 tackles.. Muriel TFLs and a couple of sacks)

Think everyone who follows college football as a Scout and even the coaching staff know Garvin was cruising

He wasn’t being used to maximize his sacks either last season. That could’ve easily had an effect. I’m not saying that’s okay but I can see how he could’ve been discouraged. He was a pass rusher on national prime time tv and the coaches asked him to spy a QB rather than set him loose. I was at that game and it ****ed me off lol.

Play like he did his Sophomore year. More snaps on film.
He should have played his best season as a junior. Didn’t do it. He knew he was declaring and instead of balling out he coasted until the last game against Duke. He decided to show up that week. Him coming back and elevating his play makes some extraordinary assumptions that he is going to flip a switch. More likely scenario if he cane back is that he would play just like he did in 19.

We have way too many guys who do this. They **** around for 3 years, have a few good games, and just wait for the moment they can declare for the draft regardless of their career. We need guys who care and want to play play at a high level so that they earn a pro opportunity at the end. The fact that this cycle continues is a terrible indictment on the entire program. Players, coaches, culture. Everything.

how does Garvin rationalize that he played half-hearted this year, left early AND got drafted in the 7th. Is there ever an self-reflection that leads the person to conclude that he should have done it differently?
