When Manny came onto the Joe Rose show "post Spring" and commenced to :****::****::****::****:in' on every player that departed the program for the culture that HE set.......that was all I needed to know about the future of the program

I'm just as happy as anyone about the good moves made over the offseason. What I am not is convinced Manny can instil the discipline needed to win big. It's good to be excited about the changes, but it is also good to temper that enthusiasm until he shows he can get a team up for more than 2 games a year.

Co-sign.. but this is a thread about a position coach exceeding expectations early. I just don’t see how Manny is relevant for what the OP was discussing. JMO

Just call them the "Fire Dabo" crowd. Im sure the Clemson board was full of those guys too after going 6-7 in year 3 and having the 36th ranked class followed by the 27th ranked class, but after he started winning championships the dummies erased all their posts to remove the evidence of how little they understand football.

Look, I wanted Cristobal, not Diaz. I was super disappointed in the hire. I made my
disappointment with his staff choices clear. But credit where credit is due, he made great offseason hires. We got the the player responsible for the most points per game in CFB in 2018. I say again- #1 in points responsible for per game. Then we got a huge upgrade on the OL with the possibility of more to come. I would have liked to see an upgrade at DC, but I can live with giving Baker another year to see if he can figure it out. I wanted a better recruiter on the defensive side of the ball, and I suspect Ed Reed is being groomed to be a position coach soon. I'm as happy as can be, considering a 6-7 season.
