I have attended games at the old Orange Bowl and I have attended games at the new Hard Rock. There is no comparison—the Orange Bowl was the hottest stadium in America, and it wasn’t close. The Hard Rock is like a country club in the middle of Miami Gardens. But there seemed to never be a breeze in little Havana, making that Orange Bowl heat during a noontime game hotter than the devil’s underwear. Throw in the smell of the Orange Bowl urine and beer, and you have a real home field advantage.
