Game Thread: Clemson v LSU

I know Clemson lost their best WR to injury early but man I didn’t see any playmakers on that side of the ball. Terrible run game.

Their defense will win most games and their schedule is weak.

LSU might be the best team in the sec. They spent good money on their defense.

Not really sure where or how the Klubnik hype train started over the offseason. Dude has always shown flashes but never really been that good overall consistently when they need him most. Feel like that was an ESPN Tobacco Road media push. The fact he’s been getting the praise he has in comparison to how they downplay Beck is pretty wild

Thanks for sharing Hoya....This reminds me why stats don't tell the full story. While this kid isn't necessarily bad, and the offense was one dimensional, I never saw the day 1 takes. Regarding Clemson, their OC looks to be outmatched vs real competition.
I thought it worthy of posting. David Hale is generally a Dabo supporter so I thought it interesting he was critical publicly

These are good college QBs, and neither one is worthy of cleaning Cam Ward's jockstrap. We really had the best player in the country last season.
Carson Beck should have watched that LSU/Clemson game last night and realized that he has a chance in Dawson’s offense to move up past these guys like Klubnick and Nussmeir on the NFL draft boards.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that Beck will open some eyes and surprise the pundits and scouts in this Canes offense, which I feel fits his strengths as a passer.

Hurricanes will once again be a consistent QB-U destination

Completely agree. QB1 is wide open right now. Beck has an opportunity to transform the fortunes of the team and himself.

That’s crazy. I remember a certain poster saying they “heard” Pickett struggled all camp and was moving to WR, lol.
