Nice job by Lashlee not giving up on the run like Enos and throwing multiple picks that wouldve lost that game last night. baby steps, but we lose that game last year. Good job punting playing field position and not turning the ball over with a mediocre line against an inferior opponent

Definite upgrade over Enos, but I do have some tiny gripes. At least 4x in the game when we broke a big run - he called a run right up the middle and got stuffed each time. Also, the deep shots seemed far fetched - but I understand what he was thinking (stretching the field). Other than that, I thought Lashlee was good.

i thought the 4th quarter was managed very poorly... team lost focus committed a bunch of penalties... UAB was crashing so hard on the RB in the 4th.. we were only up 3 scores... they were getting lit up.. committing to the run was fine but we needed to keep them honest didn't feel like we did that.. we were glad to punt it back

game was over at that point, Im talking about VT, FIU, almost Central Mich last year where abandining the run and turning the ball over literally lost you the game. we had no offensive turnovers last night.. I'll punt all day over turning the ball over

Anyone watching knows the playcalling was average at best. The predictability of runs on nearly every first down was not good. I think we threw on only one or two first downs. This predictabilty led to too many negative plays after the first few drives and longer 3rd downs, which typically would have failed if it wasn’t for Kings feet. Good teams will be keying on this predictability from film and will exploit it.

For those calling things vanilla.... how many years have we used this excuse, only to find out this was all we got?

The one mistake in management, IMO was at the end of the first half. Yes it was 3rd and long but if we call a timeout earlier, then when King has the long run we still have a chance at a field goal or another play.
now I recognize that King had a long run because the defense was playing for the Hail Mary, but let’s call time outs like we are the better team and stay aggressive.

How about running play action a few times off that exact same, repetitive inside hand off? It would have been easy pickings behind the line backers, especially to good tight ends.

I was screaming at my TV every time that happened. The play action was there all night and under utilized.

I’m sure you enjoyed the predictability on early downs and long 3rd downs.

I thought Lashlee was good also for the most part but our run game seem to lacked diversity. There was no counters or tosses for example. Everything seemed to be zone runs up the middle. Possibly it was by design and he didn't wanna reveal too much but it was definitely noticeable.

We needed to run. See what we got. The run is a huge component of this new offense.

Didn't see the tight ends? Season isn't over.

Didn't see long throws? Season isn't over.

Didn't see RB's bouncing out wide? Season isn't over.

Didn't see some **** that you'd love to have seen? Season. Isn't Over.

I'm so damned glad that many of you aren't calling plays. You're impetuous. Obvious. Predictable.

All that Louisville knows right now - is that we WILL run the ball. They know nothing of RB passes, TE usage, variations of slot usage - they don't know diddly **** about our passing game.

And guess what?

We didn't NEED any of that.

Doing something beyond running up the middle isn't giving anything away. A toss is not exactly getting Louisville and Clemson coaches to call a late night emergency game planning meeting.

What if there is nothing to give away?

Did I say I agree with it man or did I make a case for why he possibly called what he called? It's a difference.
