Game day

So I will officially be going to my first UM game this weekend for UNC! Don’t know much about the seating/parking situation as I’m yet to buy either one.

Any advice on where to sit ?
Any advice on parking ?
How early I should arrive to the stadium to get situated?

Anything helps about anything!
Enter/Exit using Turnpike.

Get a parking pass.

Have a great time.

Any advice on parking ? Looking at Yellow, Blue & Maroon Lot but trying to figure out which one is worth it.

Tickets will definitely be on the home side near the middle of the field in the middle tier. Unless someone has better recommendations?

Parking...

Blue has the best proximity to your seats (probably), as there are blue lots to the east and west of HRS. Maroon is only on the north side. Yellow sucks.

Take a look at where your tix are. Even if you buy Blue, you'll still probably want to come in from the east or the west, depending on where your seats are.

Maroon pretty good IF sitting on Northside of Stadium.

I think I have that right...

I picked up a yellow pass for $25 but noticed there are several yellow lots. First come, first serve I guess???

Yes and no. Depends on what road you come in on. Cops tend to "herd" you and minimize left turns.

For instance, if you come in off the Turnpike, you will likely park in the Yellow Lot that is most northeastern (and right by the Turnpike exit). They will not send you to 199th unless that first Yellow Lot was full.

But if you were driving east on 199th, they will direct you to the Yellow lots on the south side of 199th (would be on your right) and not let you make a left turn into the more northern lot "just because you want to park there".

Thanks for the info. Our hotel is only 15 miles West of the stadium. Right off the turnpike.

Definitely am gonna have to do the same with our hotel. Only been to Miami a couple times (never for a game) and all I remember is how bad the traffic can get.

Yeah, guys, just look at the map and I guarantee that "straightest distance between two points" and "no left turns" will pretty much help you to get where you want to go.

Essentially it's like this. As you get really close, the cops and the traffic wardens are going to want to park you in the first available lot that matches your permit. The "let me circle the stadium a couple of times" approach is not going to fly.

And, yes, I'm being a bit sarcastic, I've had my issues with HRS parking. I will say, the way they redid things after the F1 race, there just aren't enough signs. I tried to help some poor guy find his tailgate crew in the Black Lot on the north side of HRS, only to find out that there was a secret unmarked Black Lot on the EAST side of HRS, where @SpikeUM and his billionaire friends park.

Was able to get a yellow lot pass for $19 including fees on Vivid Seats today. Yes, yellow lots are "general admission".

Wish I waited to buy my tix, much better options and prices now than 3 weeks ago.

Where else would you expect billionaires to park?

Hope for a good crowd tmrw, trust me when I say it HELPS mentally and emotionally to see fans in the stands cheering the team on against a rival. One way we “turn a corner” is by showing up providing our team a spark with a home field advantage !

Best part about the maroon lot is if you are coming from north of the stadium, you basically have your own private exit off the turnpike that goes straight to the lot. Getting back onto the turnpike heading north after the game is just as smooth.
