That's a dumb thing for Desmond Howard to say. "Players feel...."

Which players? I'm sure the 30ish guys who are getting plenty of playing time feel "believed in".

Maybe Desmond read Keyshawn smith's mom's tweet and came to that conclusion?

They didn’t mention gattis by name but they said opposing coaches thought they are just calling random plays and aren’t running a cohesive offense, and aren’t running one conducive to van dykes strengths

That seems it damning on the players not buying/believing in a guy that has proven he can win. to me sounds like players are used to dIAZ not making them work hard and trying to be friends. That said Mario needs to make some changes for next season within the coaching staff
 
I never really liked "players' coaches," cuz it usually means it's all fun and games and there's not much, if any, self accountability. Nobody likes their privileges taken away and when you're trying to change a culture you're gonna get some resistance. It's time to weed out the cancers (players/coaches). Anyway, Go Canes!!

Adjusting to coaching personalities is very real, especially when it’s a coach you never had a relationship with.

I remember when I transfers schools for football between 11th grade and the coaching was WAY different and quite honestly ALOT more brutal than my previous coaches. For a short spell I was afraid to mess up or it demoralized me if I got chewed out. Part of it was I had no relationship with any of the coaches. No rapport or anything.

All it took for me was to learn to ignore it and realize it’s not personal. They’re trying to make me better.

Some of these players have no relationship to Mario and I don’t think they have yet adjusted from a relaxed, non consequence environment to the one Mario has brought it. It doesn’t surprise me that some of these players are being affected by it. Especially with the past culture.

The question is how long does it take to embed the personality Mario is bringing to the program into the players ?
 
SSDD from talking heads that “hear” things but haven’t spent a minute in the locker room. I like Des OK and he lives in Miami but unless he’s spent any time in that locker room, I’ll take what he said, like I do most, with a grain of salt.

Exactly.. Des' words don't mean anything except more drama....

IDGAF if TVD leaves and as far as Mario not believing in them………I wouldn’t either. there are about 10-15 players that belong here and the rest are the just a bunch of grease trap type players

Someone said it about TVD... let him leave he took that NIL played golf all summer and invested in his model girlfriend instead of getting his teammates phone numbers.
