- Noted that Canes have 2nd worst record now in ACC for takeaways. Last week doubled the takeaways for the season.....

- Shots taken at TVD. Noted that other coaches have felt he regressed - his QBR rating is 30 pts lower than last year- need to find the offensive style that suits him with his talents to keep him out of the transfer portal...

- Des Howard talks about what he is hearing. Says players feel Mario doesn't believe in them. Talks about it as part of the culture issue on the team.

- Mario's strength as recruiter noted- will take him a little time to get his guys in; coaching not necessarily his strength

-Players need to step up and own their performance on the field.

NOt a word mentioned about coaching or the fact the offense that didn't work was Gattis's.... No word about injuries, etc.

College coaches are usually the last to get blamed for some reason.

IDGAF if TVD leaves and as far as Mario not believing in them………I wouldn’t either. there are about 10-15 players that belong here and the rest are the just a bunch of grease trap type players

bunch of guys play for themselves and have zero pride. then they're shocked coach doesn't trust them?

He said the players feel like Mario doesn't believe in them and went on to say it's partially driven by Mario being hard on them. Said these kids don't respond well to the tough coaching and high standards. All of them said the players at some point have to "man up" essentially. I think they mentioned the 8 turnovers. You kind of separated it, but it was one big coherent statement.

It’s not that Mario doesn’t believe in these players. It’s that Mario doesn’t enable these players like they have been in the past.

Manny ran a very loose ship. Players routinely missed practice for non-injury related reasons, and there was little pressure, competition, or accountability.

I believe you have to work with what you have, and Mario needs to motivate these guys or find a way to, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he gave up on guys who he believed weren’t putting in the work.

it's funny that desmond led with "what I'm hearing". as if a miami player would be talking to him about it or as if he would know anything more than what is obviously playing out before everyone's eyes

How the f**k are you a football coach but actual coaching, the thing you're getting paid $8M/year to do, isn't your strength? To me that's more damning than Mario not believing in the kids.
I think he's only an oline expert I wouldn't say that's bad he's just not an elite play caller

"what I'm hearing" doesn't have to be from a player. a coach or staffer could say that too
