For what it's worth, Mario said weekly captains are selected based on the week of practices.

I’m confident Mario has told, in particular, Rivers, Cohen and Lee, that this is the type of game NFL scouts will be watching, going up against supposedly 15 5 stars or whatever TAMU brought in a few years ago. This game will set a tone for the team but also their individual prospects as pro players.

Our next QB Captain is Emory. He already has that personality, as does Jacurri, but Emory is our next starter IMO. But both of them have a more traditional QB personality. TVD is just a quiet guy and nothing will change that. But he was also quiet 2 years ago and played great so quiet does not equal bad player. Even at QB.

You can be quiet and have confidence and be a leader from your example and attitude. Guys who are quiet can still be voted captain. Not being voted as one of six captains as the QB could be a bad sign.

I agree that Brown and Emory seem to be more bought into the culture of the program and have a more positive attitude though

I cant speak for the entire game but he was pivotal to many of our third down stops. Probably the best game I’ve personally seen him play last week
