Game against BC at 6pm

If you aren't making shots, you aren't beating anyone. Miami did enough defensively to win, but when you shoot less than 20% from deep, this is what happens. Hopefully they can shake this off and keep moving forward. They fought like ****, but this loss hurts. This Miami team should be able to beat BC more often than not, but wasn't able to get out of their own way.
"If you aren't making shots" - and 38 of 60 shots did not go in the basket, you need some offensive rebounds to have a fair chance. We had 8 (total says 9 but was 8) and while sometimes our guys were near the basket "ball-watching" they more often have turned and started jogging towards the other side while the ball is mid-arc.

I know we don't have the fastest/quickest guys and they tire out from a small squad of scholarships, but when our shots ain't dropping this is gonna be a sure losing strategy. Our close games have been when more shots were dropping.

Coach L traditionally focuses on the transition game, and the guys are probably coached to do this unless they are super-fast and super-energetic. (and not tired.) Someone like Herronton, who is not tired out from time on the court, looks like he could handle it, his energy and quickness is lightyears above Mack and DJ and Sam and especially Amp. I'm not giving Coach L any goldstars here, and for starters in this lost season, time for more Willie!

Gotta give some credit to the BC defense which was pretty darn good. They switched it up and weren't allowing our guys open shots off ball screens.

Are you joking?

Herenton is a glorified walk on. He may have energy, but he has no business playing significant minutes under any circumstances. You see how bad he looked defensively when asked to defend anyone with any semblance of talent? If you think that Willie is anything but a late game minute eater, then you are either blind, or a member of the Herenton family.

The D wasn't that **** spectacular, Miami missed open look after open look all night. Guys missed bunnies at the rim. That's not some defensive excellence, that's Miami failing to execute. I lost count how many times Miami had excellent ball movement, a guy had an open shot from a place on the floor they usually hit, and the shot wasn't even close. When you combine that with Miami not getting rebounds(BC had more bigs available, and it showed), this is what happens.

Most of the 3 balls we shot -- shooter had a BC defender's hand in his face. At least on my TV.

Not the case in the ND or Clemson or UNC games.

No, not joking. His energy level and dexterity and quickness is what we absolutely need, and surpasses some who play more minutes. We are getting nowhere with this lineup, face the facts. It's quality as much as quantity. Sam and others look like slo motion compared to Herronnton. Wish Willie had more natural talent, although his FG percentage leads the team, LOL.

You think L is just not playing him just because? L would play him, if he could play. He can't, he doesn't bring anything in regards to size, he's not as quick as you want to believe, and he doesn't have the athletic ability needed to survive ACC ball. He can't play extended minutes for those reasons listed above. But hey, let's pretend that a guy who was barely recruited by anyone worth a **** is the panacea for a team that is struggling like this. Willie isn't a Keaton Copeland type, who at least could give you size, despite being a walk-on.

Yeah Let's stay with the status quo... Results are so great.
