Game 52: 5/11/25 UVA

So here’s the skinny:

During this win streak the two ACC foes we won series on the road were BC (25-26), & Pitt (26-23)

All of the other games were at home except the road game against FIU (we lost).

We beat GT, NCSt, FIU, & FAU at home. We go back on the road against a quality opponent, & get swept. We’ll face ND at home to end the regular season.

This lets me know we’re still an incomplete team. We play great at home (40-23 the past two seasons), & are a **** poor team on the road (13-27 the past two seasons), & are a puncher’s chance on neutral fields (4-1 w all games being close).

Great end to the season, but still major red flags. Hopefully as enter ACC play we still have imposter syndrome & fake it until we make it.
ACC is weak this year and we beat up on the bottom feeders. Liberty is 7-3 against the ACC with 2 of those losses at Clemson. They swept Virginia.

Liberty is 29-23 and 9-15 in their sorry conference

We are so far away from being dominant.

Just ****es me off. He had to turn on Gino during the interview. Threw him under the bus to make himself look like the savior if only Gino would have listened.

We will beat Notre Dame. Joy. He saved his job. Not sure what grown *** coach colors his hair.

I am whining.

Gaby starts over Peralta; Taveras moves up

Crazy how people automatically thought JD figured it all out. The team played well in April but typical JD arrogance , tries to become marshal mathers with no album, and goes back to his typical mind boggling mistakes . Gabby starting over Peralta , kulikowski and Nolan Johnson pinch hitting in the 9th just to play a lefty righty matchup. Anyone who thinks JD can lead any team to Omaha is smoking crack.

The only sign I need to see that indicates we're not there yet is that we have a 5'8 first baseman that can't hit. There are others, but that one tops the cake.

Calling in Kulikowski and Nolan to pinch hit in that situation should've never happened from a coaching perspective. At least put in Marsh. He's been active most of the year.

“You won’t see a JD Urso-type at 1B this year.”
