Game 51: FSU 5/14/26

I’m still shocked watching glidewell pitch lol kinda a miracle he has been effective. Must be spin rate or something. JD just tells him to go out there and play catch with the catcher. Rarely see anything but a 90mph fastball

If you look at the box score yes but 2 ground balls were ruled hits and were definitely playable balls and 3/4 misplayed pop ups in foul ground near first base. We’re closing in on 80 errors let that sink in.
It's embarrassing we have so many errors when so many scorers are too generous in awarding hits instead of errors. Realistically, we've probably committed 100+ true errors to this point.

And JD says it isn't a mental problem. Lol, gtfo.

I said this in the thread last night. Laz was rarely calling off speed and Glidewell was just serving up 90 mph BP fastballs. Gotta mix both speed and location at this level - change the eye level!!

The pitching woes are awful considering these guys are supposedly pitching coaches, but in what world did they decide Sheahan was an upgrade at SS over Jake from 2025. He is not both offensively (too many strikeouts, cant hit off speed) and defensively.

I have said it repeatedly in here and will continue to say it. That move is the most mind boggling one of all. Jake, like most SS’s are not comfortable making that move. It is an unnatural feeling if you have played SS for a long time.

He struggled early this year and there’s a **** good chance that switch was part of those struggles into mid season
