I have hated the hire since it happened. Only gave him some credit for the run they made last post-season. Can probably find posts of me hating on JD from a couple of years ago while in Purgatory.

A serious program doesn’t retain JD after this season, this isn’t a place where you should be FIGHTING for a .500 record in conference play.

And this situation is entirely of his own making due to poor recruiting of arms that can compete at this level, unacceptable for a promoted pitching coach.

I was thinking the same, Manny could get you 7-9 wins but NO chance at the playoffs, JD can get you to regional but NO chance at Omaha. Unfortunately I think the higher ups are satisfied with that in baseball.

I don't think President Joe E is, and baseball is his first love. Fingers crossed he does the right thing.
