He’s definitely seems to be in a better place to Menendez at the same point, but the command is still, as you would expect, a little on the inconsistent side. I’m not sure I’d throw him into a high leverage situation quite yet. Hopefully, a spot comes up to get him another inning in moderate leverage on Saturday.

Need PBC to carry that over to the 9th because I badly don’t want to use Glidewell in a game we were one run from run ruling
 
Listen JD. You’re doing a mediocre job. Don’t come on here with your burner account and try to help the situation. Spend that extra time trying to recruit relief pitchers.

I agree with you the pen is 100% the weak link. Back to my point if you read the NC State thread and everyone on here is questioning who were putting in the game. Now we win and still questioning it?? What do you all want?? Win? Lose? Just no pleasing you all.

A competent coach with a massive lead gives Robert an inning and Menendez an inning as they both desperately need it.

Jd did something right by giving Robert an inning. He looked great. What does dumb dumb do next? Trot him out there for a 2nd inning 🤣

Guess what happens next? Robert gets in trouble the following inning so now he has to bring in a valuable piece of the pen instead of doing what any competent skipper (pitching coach for a quarter of a century) would do: bring Menendez in the following inning after roberts 1 inning.

JD you absolutely stink at your job. A job you have done for 25 years. The only people I know who have done a ****** job for 25 years straight are politicians: bravo to you, you’re in a league of your own. Truly.

JD's burner does have somewhat of a point, though. He's dug himself so deep a hole that he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. There's a guy arguing for 3 days on another thread that we should've pinch hit for Sosa with bases loaded in the 8th on Saturday. If Menendez goes in and does his typical Menendez routine of striking out the first batter, giving up a jamshot single to the second and then walking three in a row, we are all here still muther****ing JD. It is what it is at this point - a win's a win. The way this team plays, it's a minor miracle we are gonna get 35 of them.

But Menendez would have had a clean slate inning after a shutdown from Robert while we were up 8 runs. It’s the perfect slot for Menendez. Jd’s dumbass has continued to trot him out there in high leverage situations since returning. Last night was the definition of not high leverage given the run advantage after a shutdown from robert.

Im sorry but this is common sense. Total incompetence from Jd all year trotting Menendez out there in high leverage… which like you’ve mentioned he’s struggled. Last night wasn’t high leverage until dumb dumb decided to trot Robert back out there for a 2nd inning…. Which surprise surprise blew up in his face and UL put up a 4 spot.

I have no sympathy for the assclown anymore. But you are absolutely right a minor miracle this team has won as many games it has despite the incompetence from skipper+staff
