You never swing at the first pitch in that situation. Just bad fundamental baseball and coaching

this is the teams culture. the culture is way more losing plays than winning. that is a crazy thing to say with the teams record but think about if they actually played any sort of fundamental winning baseball. JD is just so far over his skis
