Game 47: 5/3/25 NC State

Our lineup just not good enough to win anything in the post season in my opinion. Too many dead at bats
I tend to agree but if Frosh pitchers really hold-up we may have a puncher’s chance. Think Hugus going to be solid and Walters as well.

So like you said, who besides Ogden/Cuvet can hit above their season range? Dorian you would hope being older and he does have some pop. But it’s the bottom half (5-9) that has to contribute above stats for U to be legit Super R at least.

What would happen if Peralta, Renzo, Torres started getting on AHEAD of Ogden/Cuvet? Btw, props to Galvin and to Sebastian for pointing his growing contribution out.

Anyway, short series, good pitching, CUVET/Ogden, plus unexpected production = moving on.

WTF, we have a CHANCE who would have thunk it just…

Go Canes!!

1 game out of first place? Imagine being told that in March. Really impressed with how they have turned things around.
Just double checked for myself. We’re two games behind NC State, but we can close another tomorrow. Kind of a mess to compare to FSU with them cancelling an entire conference series.

Edit: Warren Nolan still hasn’t finalized tonight so we can pull even with NC State tomorrow. We’d basically be half a game behind FSU.

Just checking your math......aren't they now 15-8 to our 14-9?

What’s the ceiling and what’s the floor for a seed in the regional?

Any chance at hosting?
Have to think there is at this point, especially if you win tomorrow. Our RPI is going to be a drag from a hosting perspective, but at some point (19 ACC wins? 20?) the conference win total/standings would be enough to overcome it.
