Game 4 Regional: Southern Miss

Incredible wins. Like most I’m very hesitant on what kind of sustained success JD can have here but I have to be honest and say this regional tournament win is BY FAR our best post season baseball string of wins since insert year…… I’m talking many many years and we may have to go all the way back to the last time we got out of an away regional/super.

Kudos. Hats off. Salute. We beat 3 really really good teams and beat them when it matters the most. Something Miami has been allergic to in **** near every sport for 20 years.

I was so impressed with southern miss 1-9. That skipper has to be getting big time looks, right?

Football team used to pelvic thrust over opposing players after a big hit and now our fans are made about a dog pile after advancing to supers. LOL

Agree. Something in that SoMS crowd lit a fire in him and he had them focused.

I'm very impressed with how they bounced back after Sunday night. Pitching, defense and timely hitting ... we've been saying it for years and it finally all came together in the same game. Go Canes!

It warmed the ****les to watch. Also a bit of a kick to the nuts. Miami baseball should flat out be better. Regardless...

1) Go Canes - GREAT Regional performance, outside of 1 inning really... Proud of these kids.. OMAHA or bust!!!!

2) the bad: IMO JD needs a make-shift solution for remaining games....Peralta... not to dog pile on the kid and most of my opinions apply to Torres as well... we can't have almost 2 guaranteed outs, if not guaranteed SO's on our roster in big time baseball.... as echoed, their swings are not even close and are fooled out of their shoes.. being FR I can understand getting smoked by 95+ pitchers with good stuff.. but they are facing 84-92mph pitchers... My 1st thought for Lville was Kuli to start over Fabio, but then read a couple comments about issues with Kuli?? can anyone explain?? is Williams hampered in OF by the injury? if not, I'd start him in RF and find a better DH than Fabio..

3) the ugly: Yes, he caught it and we won... but I flipped my sh*t last night when I realized that was gabby in LF in the 9th freaking inning, with Supers on the line???!!!! This isn't Rec ball.. kids don't "have' to play... unless Galvin was injured or stuck on the toilet, there is not ONE excuse you could give me to make sense of sticking an out of shape/weight player in OF to win the game in the 9th inning... That's the type of coaching blunder (cough, not kneeing it) that cost you big games... you're either a DAWG at coach and play to win at all cost, or you're not...

Nothing you posted proved Miami isn’t the worst team left. Again odds to win the CWS does not equal best/worst. It’s matchup based

Call up the book makers and ask whose the worst team left is, the answer won’t be Miami

You acting like Murray State a 4 seed ain’t the worst team in the tournament **** outta here

1. It’s so awesome to be only two wins away from Omaha

2. I think they’re kind of stuck on that one. Besides the double for Kulo at the end of Sundays game, they’re essentially the same hitter while Fabio is a much better defender and runner. You just gotta hope he pokes a few in play and runs it out like Mikey’s been

3.Gaby is actually a better fielder tbh, would’ve only been a bad move if we blew it and meant we took Galvin’s bat out of the lineup (Which has happened multiple times this year)

But overall it’s just great we can have these discussions about still playing this time of year

Miami is the 3rd worst team left, according to oddsmakers.

50/1 at the moment.

For the Super Regional, Louisville is -160 Miami is +130 right not at DK.

Oregon State and FSU are both -115 by the way.
