Game 36: Wake Forest 4/12/26

Great win today. Would say it was the best we’ve played all year.

Unreal performances from all 3 starters. Trying to think of last time we have seen dominance like that from our starters on the mound across a 3 game series and feel like we would need to go all the way back to 2019.

I will say this again…. Alvarez has to stay in the lineup. Let galvin and Torres fight for that 3rd outfield spot.

Keep it rolling this week as we are hot right now… with much to improve on, but still playing good enough ball to stack all of these wins over last month. Have to start receiving some votes for top 25, right?

Alvarez needs to be in the lineup as either the DH or Catcher. Not sold on either Galvin or Torres in the lineup every game.
I was hoping that Dubovik would get an at bat today...maybe against USF on Wednesday.
It was nice to see three legit starters and have them all go 6+ innings.

Galvin just has to get his legs under him. He’s very important to the success of this team. He hit .411 last year in the regionals and super regionals

Ya, we have Clemson and FSU to thank for the CFB playoff money, because we know they would never have agreed to that structure if they thought Miami would be good again.
 
Eyeballing Warren Nolan’s predicted results, it looks like our RPI would be a few spots higher (19 or 20 if we can get to 18 conference wins and hold serve midweek) than it would have been before the weekend, so it seems results were generally helpful to us this weekend.

He seems to be a slow starter based on his couple of years here, so it’s not a big surprise he’s taking a bit to get back going.
