Game 36: Wake Forest 4/12/26

Sosa was very intently shaking and listening to one of their bats on Friday
Hot bats are an epidemic in D1 college these days. So much so that you're seeing it brought by national outlets.

There are a few different ways to do it and one is to shave them down so they whip like a golf club effect.

I'd have asked to take the bat and have it examined in that spot. Was my first thought. After bleeping West.

This is a big flipping game for both teams and it is most likely to be a razor thin game.

Calls like that make no sense and even if he gets the next batter out have a cumulative effect by rolling the lineup and adding stress pitches to the pitcher at worst.

And Miami gets runs at best.
And it's not even the rule, i.e. there was no intentional interference w the defender and he didn't step on the white bag.

Amazing how much feeble contact we manage to get with metal bats.
Wake a pitching factory and their weekend rotation is excellent but I agree overall. We seem to make a lot of defensive swings.

I'd like to see us get our best swings off unless two strikes every time we decide to go.

Singles have their place, but the college game is about damage.
