You could tell after his first few warmup throws that a) it wasn’t completely there and b) that his body language was frustrated. It’s tough because he needs time and innings but not necessarily in high leverage like that.

Need to stop putting him into high leverage situations. He didn’t pitch for a year. I thought they would ease him in via some midweeks, or an inning or batter here and there. Gonna kill the kid’s confidence.

- completely wrong situation to put menendez in. He needs some low stress big lead opps, to get back into the groove. And yes, he may be pushing himself too much. Settle down kid.

on Menendez. He got the critical out in the 8th. It is about confidence with him. He can see the body language every outing so far.

I didn’t understand putting him out there in that spot considering he had command/confidence issues in his last outing
