That inning by Erick Peralta was huge. When I watched intersquads in the fall, he had the best movement of any pitcher on the staff. Unfortunately, his pitches rarely found the strike zone. Tonight, he walked only one of the 4 batters he faced and his ball still had great movement. If he can keep this up, it will be huge for the team.

As cloudy as its seemed at times, the pitching staff might be gearing up for a tremendous turnaround at the right time.

- keep evans and ciscar as our best 1-2 punch
- menendez and robert creeping back in to shape to add that 95/96 punch we’re missing
- FR drummond and peralta both working into bigger roles with peralta adding another 95mph punch
- collera and santos settling in as starter type roles
- im a low key Dorn fan and trust the 3-5innings he can give us

** the gravy wildcard is if deRias can refocus and get back on track at some point and be a deadly set up guy for bilka, so bilka doesnt have to go 2-3innings

Agreed. Like you said, biggest thing is Derias. I feel like that kid is bound to just turn it on for the last month and a half before playoffs. And if he does, this team can definitely be scary.
