Things were sure more fun then. The greatest games I never saw were the Jim Burt series at UF. Just remember getting updates on grassy. Burt Sr was described as climbing half way up the netting behind home plate after the HR.

That's what you want - it's the hardest thing in sports to take a 97 MPH FB out of the park. Even MLB's best hitters rarely do it.

Wasn't there though. Was in a hotel room preparing for the defining moment of my business career and said, eff it, I am watching the Canes.

Fortunately, they didn't let me down and also fortunate, ESPN carried the game as there was no other option back then in hotel rooms.
